By the end of the night, Avery was dragging her bag behind her and sitting down at every candy bowl to have a breather before moving on. Oh, and she finished off about seven lollipops in the process. Jack was on a candy high (laughing at all his own jokes) for about an hour after the party ended.Saturday, November 1, 2008
Happy Halloween! As usual, we had a great time trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Our neighbors all sit out on their doorsteps, handing out candy and trying to "scare" the little ones with all kinds of ghoulish decor. Jack enjoyed handing out candy almost as much as he did receiving it, and Avery took it upon herself to demonstrate the screaming headstone to everyone who passed by. Shane was Joe The Plumber, if anyone's wondering. I went with the ever-popular witch costume that, let's be honest, will probably make a reappearance about every three years from here on out.

Jack couldn't decide if he wanted to be a transformer or a fire man. So he did both. Aves was a charming Little Red Riding Hood.
Jack and Kennede... before the candy bags got too heavy to carry.
Trick or Treat!
