First Impressions

Day 1 -- Salt Lake City
It was a bear of a trip getting here... we didn't arrive to our hotel until after 1am. And amazingly, the kids only slept about one hour of the trip. They had fun exploring the hotel courtyard today (SNOW!) and the back of the hotel (MORE SNOW!) and the shopping center where they got new boots (SNOW IN THE BUSHES!) and the houses we toured (SNOW IN THE BACKYARD!). They discovered that Utah also has Petsmart and grocery stores. The world is right again now that they can enjoy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with milk and fritos.  We looked at several neighborhoods and houses today. Houses were nice, neighborhoods were nice, looming mountains were awesome.

Not surprisingly, both kids fell asleep just as we started our decent.

A dirty snowman is still a snowman. This one met his demise shortly after completion.

Finishing off the head, just before shot-putting it across the parking lot.

Avery quickly figured out how to throw snowballs at people. At Daddy, at Jack, at Mommy who didn't have a coat on, at the realtor as she approached to introduce herself...

Just another day of shopping... oh, and some huge mountains in the background.
