We've been watching five butterflies grow from caterpillars for the last several weeks. The other four have been released, but this one just isn't ready to go yet. So of course, the kids have taken it from it's netted home and turned it into a household pet. The poor thing doesn't know enough to fly away when syrupy-smelling fingers try to grab a hold of it. It was a good sport for about an hour, but now it's hiding somewhere in the house... or in Luna's belly. We're not sure.

The butterfly seems to prefer Jack to curly-headed Aves. (She's taken a liking to foam rollers)

This is what I found on my camera last night after Jack went to bed. Apparently, this is what happens when he's left alone with it.
